Community and volunteering services

Dr. Wong has been involved in patients’ dental education since 1996 and has conducted numerous seminars on dental hygiene and geriatric (seniors’) dentistry, particularly in association with Carefirst Seniors’ Support Services Association.  He also provides complimentary dental check-up for seniors from time to time.  In addition, he has conducted seminars in Toronto CCM Centre, North York Chinese Community Church and North Toronto Chinese Alliance Church.

Dr. Wong also believes in volunteering his time to help those who are less fortunate.  In 2001, he travelled with the Evangelical Medical Aids Society (EMAS) to Kunming, China and treated children in a primary school.  In 2004, he volunteered at the Yonge Street Mission Evergreen Centre and provided treatment for street kids and low income youth.  In 2013, he travelled with the Short Term Mission Team of North Toronto Chinese Alliance Church to Panama and conducted dental seminars and examination to the local Chinese population.

Since August 2014, Dr. Wong travelled with his family to Northern Ontario to  provide complimentary treatment to low income families.
