When should my child have braces?

There is not a definite age when a child may begin to have braces.  Everyone differs according tohis/her physical and mental development, maturity, oral condition (jaw size, relationship between upper and lower arch, crowding/spacing) and family financial priorities.  However, some conditions should be treated early for better outcome and to prevent complication later.  These include cross-bite, unfavourable oral habits, premature loss of baby teeth and inadequate arch width.
