Are baby teeth important for my child’s health?

Some parents think that baby teeth are not important because they will fall out eventually.  However, they are vital in the overall arch development and space maintenance for adult teeth.  The premature loss of primary teeth as a result of cavity or accident can cause serious problems like inadequate arch width and crowded adult teeth.  As a result, it is crucial to take care of the baby teeth to ensure long term success of the adult teeth.
